STYLUS & PALM REJECTION

Stylus and Palm Rejection is used to change the behavior of your Stylus such as it's sensitivity or how the stylus interacts with your iPad depending on your hand position. If your stylus is already connected to GoodNotes, there will be settings for it listed. Single Finger Panning lets you use one finger to swipe to different pages in your document. If this setting is turned off, you will have to use a two-finger swipe to switch pages.

A "Disconnect" option will also appear under your stylus settings used to unpair your stylus with GoodNotes. One thing to keep in mind is that when you have an Apple Pencil/stylus connected to GoodNotes, you CANNOT use your finger to draw/markup your document and vice versa. To (re)connect an Apple Pencil to GoodNotes, tap on "Stylus & Palm Rejection" within your tool's menu and a popup Menu will open. Tap on Smart Stylus and select your stylus from the list. If successfully connected, a bluetooth logo will appear next to the tool icon you currently have selected.

Palm Rejection settings are used to prevent accidental page swipes and and markups. Normally the default settings are sufficient, but you can always tweak them if you are finding GoodNotes not responding accurately to your palm or stylus.
