HOW TO ADD GOODNOTES STICKERS

USING A STICKER BOOK

PURPOSE OF STICKERS | AND HOW TO INSTALL THEM

Stickers come in all shapes and sizes, and are meant to provide function and style to any notebook. Functional stickers often have a color that can be used to highlight objects and writings. Other times, they can be written on like a post-it sticker. Stylish/fun stickers are meant to decorate your notebook to make it more lively and personal.

There are two main ways of installing stickers into a GoodNotes PDF by using an iPad-using the iPad’s multitask view where you drag sticker png files from the Files App into GoodNotes, and the other is by opening a sticker book (a PDF that has multiple stickers on it) within GoodNotes and copy/pasting them into your notebook. You have to find which method best works for you.

METHOD 2 | USING A STICKER BOOK (GOODNOTES FORMAT)

STEP 1

*MAKE SURE GOODNOTES 5 IS INSTALLED ON YOUR IPAD

**MAKE SURE YOUR NOTEBOOK AND STICKER BOOK ARE DOWNLOADED INTO GOODNOTES

Your first step is to open two documents, your planner and your sticker book within GoodNotes. First, open up the GoodNotes App. In the Documents menu, tap on the planner you want to add stickers to. Go back to the Documents menu and open your sticker book (should be a ".goodnotes" file extension). There should now be two tabs in GoodNotes.

STEP 2

Switch to Note Taking mode by selecting its icon     in the upper right corner of the screen. In GoodNotes 5, the navigation bar will turn blue. Then tap on the Lasso tool    .

STEP 3

Within the sticker book, navigate to a sticker you would like to insert and using your Apple Pencil, draw a circle around the sticker (the circle does not have to be perfect).

STEP 4

Tap within the circle and select "Copy" from the popup menu.

STEP 5

Go into your planner and navigate to the page you want to insert the sticker. Tap and hold on the page until a popup menu appears. Select "Paste".

STEP 6

Using the sticker's bounding box (blue box that appears around the sticker), you can resize and move the sticker. Once you finish positioning the sticker, tap outside of the bounding box to place it down. You can always re-select and move the sticker by tapping and holding on the sticker to bring up a popup menu and selecting "Edit".
