CHANGING LEAVES + CHILLY WEATHER

Vibrant, warm colors of autumn leaves fluttering down bathed in delicious golden light are one of the best parts about fall. (Tho it doesn’t happen much here in Hawaii, it’s truly an experience when seeing it for the first time.)

COLOR IDEA

Bring some of that beauty to your planner by changing colors over the month (or week). Start with a lighter, vibrant color at the beginning of the week and gradually pick a darker, less vibrant color within the same color palette for each consecutive day. By the end of the week, you will have a beautiful color fade.

  • Brown #844500 #663E11 #624421 #57442F #4A4034

DESIGN TIPS

The highlighter pen has more versatility than just highlighting words. It can be used to make label backgrounds of all shapes and sizes. Better yet, you can easily change its color. Capture the crisp Fall breeze in your planner by using the highlighter tool to draw swirly wisps with Fall inspired colors (look below for inspiration).

Another tip is to look for free fonts online that match the vibe you’re looking for. For a soft, warm feel try using a handwritten font like this one: Free Font Pompiere (via FontSquirrel)

SWEATER WEATHER + COMFORT FOODS

Autumn is a feast for the senses-the sight and sound of beautiful falling leaves that ruffle and crunch under foot; the comforting smell and taste of soups, casseroles, freshly baked pies, and pumpkin spice; the cozy, warm texture of knit sweaters and blankets. It’s a season that envelops us in its presence.
